All men of the parish are invited to join us on Saturday, May 9 for the next meeting of our Men’s Group. This is a group of brothers who meet once a month to learn from one another how their faith can enrich every part of their lives. It’s a great group of guys and we always have an interesting and inspiring conversation.
We will gather in the parish center at 7:30 A.M.- yes, that’s right! We chose that time so that you would have the rest of the day to do what you need to do. Please join us and bring a friend- there’s no commitment made by attending, but we do hope you will be part of this community of faith.
Come and spend some time with other men of faith.
On Sunday,May 10 we will have our annual May Crowning. Immediately after the 11:30 Mass, we will process to the statue of Mary that is on the side of the parish center by the driveway, and one of our First Communion students will crown our Blessed Mother with flowers. Come join us in this beautiful ceremony honoring our Blessed Mother.
One of our fellow parishioners, Gina Tufano, is offering a bereavement group here at St. Joseph's. This group, called "Living with Loss", is offered once a month and the next gathering will be on Monday, May 11 at 7:00 P.M. in the parish center.
This is a message from Gina about what this group can offer:
Grief is the last act of love we can give. Learning to live with loss is not about leaving loved ones behind, but carrying them with us in a new way. It is honoring the scars while finding the courage to live a full life again. “Moving on” is a myth, but “moving forward” is essential. By honoring the loss, we create space for growth, allowing ourselves to integrate the past into a new reality that sustains ties to what we lost while enabling a purposeful future. Come join us so you can “move forward” in Christ’s light.
Any questions, contact Gina Tufano @[email protected]
